Knee reconstruction

18/11/08

Way back at the very start of June I suffered a complete anterior cruciate ligament rupture to my left knee in a very similar fashion to Michael Owen although no playing England. Fast forward to 10th Nov and I had finally got round to have a knee reconstruction. As I write all is going well with the knee, and am able to hobble for a good five minutes.

Below are some photos from inside my knee, admittedly I haven’t a clue what they show but should fine out at my next appointment.

Update: The picture on the left shows the Menisci which is in perfect condition while, on the right my anterior cruciate ligament has been reconstructed with part of my hamstring.
